“Live for Others” • Romans 12:1-3 – Elder Bryce Lowrance considers the first three verses of chapter 12 in Romans, Paul’s letter to the church at Rome. He looks to what we should logically do in our service to God, beginning with the need to focus on remembering the mercies of God. He considers what it means to “present our bodies a living sacrifice” and exhorts us to consider how we can serve others. Brother Bryce draws clear distinction between sonship and discipleship, encouraging us to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind” and to humble ourselves and think of the needs of others before our own. He reminds us that in doing these things we can still experience joy and learn more about what is “acceptable” as mentioned by the Apostle Paul.

Elder Bryce Lowrance This week we will hear part 2 of the message “Here I Raise My Ebenezer.” This look back at the blessings of God motivated the children of Israel to trust God as they went forward. “Here I Raise My Ebenezer” – Part 1. Elder Bryce Lowrance This week we will start a three part miniseries looking back on 2023 and looking forward to our walk with God in 2024. The first two parts of this series come from a message preached on Sunday, December 31, 2023. In that sermon, we see how the Prophet Samuel is blessed by God from even before he was born to the time he delivers that ark back to Israel, and throughout the rest of his life. He sets up a “Stone of Remembrance” or Ebenezer declaring that the Lord has led him and Israel up to this point, and that he trusts God will guide them going forward. He then spends the rest of his life traveling the area of the tribe of Benjamin. In his circuit of teaching and judging, he travels back and forth from this Ebenezer to the memorial set up in Gilgal when God delivered Israel over Jordan.

“The Law of the Lord Is Perfect” • Psalm 19:7-14 part 2. Elder Bryce Lowrance moves on to the second testimony of the glory of God found in this Psalm. While the fact that God is Creator is enough for man to owe Him glory, David reminds us that we have even more evidence that God deserves our praise. God has written us a personal letter telling us about His glory and His love for His children.

“I Will Call Upon the Lord” • Psalm 18:3-19 Part 2 – Today, we continue our look at this Psalm David wrote about his cry to the Lord for help when Saul and his men were trying to kill him. In part two of this sermon, we take a look behind the curtain of heaven to see what happens when one of God’s precious children calls out to Him for help. Not only does God science heaven to listen to prayer, He hears the prayer and responds!
