Christmas Special Edition • “The Message or the Show?” Part 2 This message was preached on December 22, 2019 at Mount Paran Primitive Baptist Church. Today’s episode concludes Elder Bryce’s message from Luke, Chapter 2. God celebrated the birth of Jesus into the world with perhaps the Greatest Show on Earth. We too can and should celebrate the birth of our Savior. However, we should remember how the first men, the shepherds, spread the news. It wasn’t with a big show or rock and laser light concert. They simply told the message of the Savior’s birth to everyone they met.

Prayer is our lifeline to the Captain of the Hosts of heaven. We can come to God directly through prayer for help in our trials and to thank Him for deliverance. One of the greatest blessings that we will find when we talk with God regularly is that we are joining in a battle the God is already fighting for us!

We are only able to truly fight the good fight of faith when we put on the whole armor of God. When we take the personal responsibility to actively engage our minds in the word of God and in worship, we equip ourselves with the helmet of salvation, and therefore have the right mindset to fight our spiritual battles.
