Ephesians Series • 26. The Shield of Faith Ephesians 6:16 (November 8, 2020) One of the oldest tactics of warfare has been the use of flaming arrows to attack the enemy from a great distance. The biggest advantage to this tactic is that the general does not put himself or his troops in harms way while he inflicts damage to his enemy. This tactic is also used by our adversary, the devil. He shoots at the children of God from a distance and very often does quite a bit of damage to those who are alone and wandering away from the fellowship of the saints. The best defense against this dangerous assault is regular worship and church fellowship. Just like the “testudo” defense of shields used by the Roman army, the shield of faith of the church provides a dome covering where the members protect one another.

Ephesians Series • 25. Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace Ephesians 6:15 pt. 2 (November 1, 2020)  Today’s edition of Triumphal Feast continues in Psalm 119 developing the teaching that we have the word of God to guide and direct our lives. Elder Bryce then moves on to other responsibilities of Christians and the church including the duty to spread the gospel of peace.

Ephesians Series • 25. Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace Ephesians 6:15 (November 1, 2020)  It is not just the preacher’s job to prepare to preach the word. It is the duty of all children of God to prepare to receive the word, apply the word, and live the word. Scripture tells us who we are and where we stand. It also tells us Who God is and what He has done for us. When we see the marvelous grace of God in our lives we want to follow Him. The Bible shows us exactly how to do that as well.

The Breastplate of Righteousness Ephesians 6:14b, pt. 2 (October 25, 2020) Today’s episode of Triumphal Feast is part 2 of the message about The Breastplate of Righteous found in Ephesians Chapter 6. We will begin with an example of Ananias and Saphira to show that our outward righteous acts are not enough to justify us before God. We must have Christ righteousness counted to us to stand before an holy God. Blessed is the man that knows what he has done but also understands that it is not counted against him

The Breastplate of Righteousness Ephesians 6:14b, pt. 1 (October 25, 2020) Elder Bryce continues to look at Paul’s charge to us to put on the whole armor of God in order to be prepared as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need natural armor to fight natural warfare. We also need spiritual armor to fight spiritual battles. Much like a bullet-proof vest, the breastplate of righteousness protects are heart. Our understanding of righteousness is very vital to how we live every day. 

Ephesians Series • 23. Loins Girt About With Truth Ephesians 6:14a – Part 2 (October 18, 2020) Elder Bryce continues teaching from Ephesians Chapter 6 regarding truth. With truth as our foundation, we are able to stand against the evil influences of the world and the devil. We are also equipped to help others who are struggling with doubts and fears. When armed with the Bible, we are our own “fact checkers!”

Loins Girt About With Truth Ephesians 6:14a (October 18, 2020) The pandemic, upheaval in local and federal government, and riots in the streets of America’s largest cities shows that we are definitely enduring a battle with the forces of darkness in high places. Through all of this turmoil, many are claiming to speak the truth and persuade the masses to follow them. In today’s message, Elder Bryce reminds us that what the Bible says is true. We need to have Biblical truth as the foundation of our lives or we can be easily fooled into following dangerous false doctrines.

Ephesians Series • 22 “Be Strong in the Lord” Ephesians 6:10-13 In part two of this message, Elder Bryce begins by describing the battle techniques of our enemy the devil. He then reminds us that God has designed the whole armor of God so that, if used properly, we will not only be able to fight and win our spiritual battles, we will be able to stand in the end unharmed. Oh, what a blessed thought!
