Triumphal Feast – Lowrance Ministries

Time is fleeting. Once it has passed, we cannot physically go back and reclaim it. However, the Apostle Paul teaches us that we can redeem that time by living differently. The closer we are to Christ in our daily walk, the closer we are to eternity! When we seek the good of others rather than pleasing ourselves, we walk on “God’s time” and make the most of our lives.

Today’s edition of Triumphal Feast is the conclusion of the message titled “Walk Like Children.” Last week we learned that God saved us to Himself for His glory. In doing so, He regenerates us so that we are able to glorify Him in our walk as discipleships in His church here in time. Last week’s edition ended in the middle of Ephesians 5:4 with the subject of “jesting.”  We will begin today’s message at that point where we see that Christ never acted for His own benefit but always for the benefit of God’s elect.

Ephesians Series • 17 “Walk Like Children” Ephesians 5:1-17 Paul’s letter to the Church at Ephesus is the perfect example of what a church ought to believe and how it should behave together as a unified church. 

The first three chapters stand as an Articles of Faith clearly showing the finished work of Jesus Christ and that salvation is by grace plus nothing. Chapters four through six are a sort of Church Covenant. Here, Paul teaches how to apply the doctrine of grace taught in the first half of the letter to our daily living with one another in the church.

Today’s message begins in chapter five where Paul teaches us to walk in love as children. When we understand and truly believe the doctrine of grace, we are then able to live our lives in the liberty of love knowing that our sonship is secure and preserved by the power of God.

Today’s episode of Triumphal Feast concludes the message “Walking Instructions” from Ephesians 4:17-32. Here, Paul give specific instruction on how children of God should handle interpersonal relationships.

The Apostle Paul begins Ephesians Chapter 4 with instructions for us to walk as the born-again children of God that we are. Further, he shows that this calling is to be an active member of a local assembly where the gifts of the Spirit are employed to strengthen the bonds of fellowship. The last half of the chapter gives specific ways that we should walk together in love as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Today’s edition of Triumphal Feast contains the conclusion of the message “One Body.” When Jesus rose from the dead, He gave gifts to the church for its benefit in the kingdom of God here on Earth. Those gifts were to the church so that its members could stand strong on the doctrine of the finished work of Jesus Christ. And, having this foundation, they would not be tossed about by the troubles and doctrines of the world.

The scriptures teach us that each one of God’s elect is called individually by the sovereign power of God in the grace of the new birth. However, the purpose for our calling is to be of benefit in God’s kingdom here on earth. Therefore, we are called to come out from the world and unite in a local assembly called a church. We are to consider ourselves part of a local Body of Christ where we can be comforted and learn how to not be tossed about by the troubles and teachings of this world. 

Today’s message charges us to put ourselves to work for the Lord. Each one of God’s people is called individually by the Today’s edition of Triumphal Feast is the conclusion of the message “Unity of the Spirit” as found in Ephesians 4:1-6.
Part 1 of the message showed us that there should be a unity among the people of God in the church. There is one body of Christ. There is one Holy Spirit that calls each of God’s elect by irresistible grace. Jesus Christ is the one Lord and each born again child of God is given an intrinsic trust of the Heavenly Father, this is the seed of faith given in regeneration. 
Today’s message will further explore the “one faith” of Ephesians 4:5 as well as the other unifying factors of the church of Jesus Christ.
